Commercial Insight analyst

Summary
The Commercial Insight Analyst role will support the TRKR business on a full-time, permanent basis.
Strong excel, analytical and reporting skills are required to be able to investigate large amounts of market data and come to conclusions and insights based on the findings.
Role Details
TRKR Ltd is a leading Innovation and Insight consultancy based in Edinburgh, working mainly with Food & Drink clients across the UK. TRKR are also a connected partner with NIQ, one of the world’s largest market research agencies.
We are seeking a commercially minded MI and Data Analyst to support our business. You will report directly to the Commercial Insights Manager, but also work closely with both Directors of the business.
The main task will be to analyse grocery sales data and consumer panel data to create bespoke reports for Food & Drink suppliers. Suppliers, with TRKR’s support, will then use these reports to create a specific commercial rationale to maintain or grow their shelf space with the UK’s leading grocery retailers.
For individuals with a strong analytical or data visualisation background, this role offers the opportunity to drive creative approaches to data manipulation and presentation. It also provides a strong commercial aspect to data analysis and customer insight.
There may also be opportunities to liaise directly with clients
As a strong candidate you should be able to demonstrate:
Strong analytical and commercial skills
Data processing and excel skills and experience
Strong PowerPoint skills
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data quality
A logical approach to problem solving and analysis
Good written, verbal and presentation skills
Currently we are working remotely, meeting in Edinburgh 1 day per month
